In music class we got to sing ¨Lord, I lift your name in high¨
I think this is what we can sing after these weeks of classes. We are moving slowly but moving. I´m learning a lot of each one of the kids. I wanna say thank you for all your prayer, I can feel them, God is good! I wanna share more through pictures....
I like for the kids to present a topic in front of the class. Like we don´t have a projector, we put or others skills to work.
We mix flour with hot water to make what we call ¨engrudo¨, it works like glue.
After that we start getting the hands dirty to paste the newspaper on the globes.
Then, it came the painting process...
And here is the final product...
This is Fatima, the only girl I have in my class. She wishes there could be another girl here.. ´We´ll see what the Lord says about it.
Here we have Toño, he is Fátima´s brother.
Jorge is here with his work done.
Isaac showing the Sun.
Ignacio "Nacho" did a picturesque job.
The Earth belong to David...
We have four boards in the classroom. I like to see exactly what they are doing in certain tasks. I can check faster if there is any mistake. First they didn´t like much the idea but now the are fine with it. Actually some times I say we are gonna work in the notebooks and they say they prefer to do it in the boards.
Having some fun!!!
In order to introduce them to geometry, they trace and color the shapes so they could get related in a more personal way.
This is Alfonso "Poncho" with his final work.
P. E. classes are hard!! I do them with everybody... we have this class twice a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays, and some how I´m sore on Wednesdays and Fridays.
We have music classes on Friday with Jim Blomstrand who comes and helps teaching recorder and do some singing.
Two of the guys were playing a little rough and got the batroom sink broken. Well, I think is part of the deal of being working with teenagers.
And we did some "mexican" fixing on the roof.
Thanks again for your prayers....May God keep blessing you and your family.
